Our Guide to Broadway this Season
New York City is known for our Broadway theaters. There’s always a new play or best musical to see here and everyone always remembers their first Broadway show. My family and I are major fans of seeing broadway shows and are looking forward to breaking down the current season to help you figure out which broadway tickets to get. Shows make for great gift experiences or a fun way to treat yourself. These activities support artists and we are always all about that. Here is a list of the best broadway shows to see this season.


Whether you have kids or not, we all need to see this show. We all know and love this show and it is always such a feel good musical! I got the chance to see one of the performers who plays Aladdin sing at an event recently and just from that, I can tell the show is amazing! This is a great one to bring your kids to, since it’s Disney and it’s a classic story! Broadway plays are a great way to spend a rainy day with kids this spring, if you are looking for some good times and not getting stuck indoors.
Based on the classic Romeo and Juliet tale, this story is all about what Juliet would’ve done if she hadn’t ended it all for Romeo. It’s a second chance at life and love all told through popular pop anthems.
This popular musical brings Tim Burton’s cult-classic film to life on Broadway with over-the-top comedy, eye-popping sets, and a score that’s as mischievous as its title character. Following the story of Lydia Deetz and her encounters with a hilariously chaotic bio-exorcist, the show blends spooky fun with heartfelt moments. It’s a must-see for fans of humor, stunning visuals and Halloween vibes all year round.
A great comedy that everyone will enjoy is TBOM. The Book of Mormon is one of the most hilarious Broadway shows I’ve ever seen. The writers did a great job with the script and it has amazing music! I would say this is the perfect show to go to with friends after dinner and drinks or with family members who are of age, since there are some parts that aren’t so appropriate. The legendary 1997 album has come to the stage, celebrating the story of Cuban musicians whose artistry endured through the country’s revolution and found new global fame decades later. With a book by Marco Ramirez, direction by Saheem Ali, and choreography by Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck, the show pulses with Afro-Cuban rhythms like son, bolero, and danzón performed by a live band. After premiering Off-Broadway in 2023, the production opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in 2025, where it has captivated audiences and earned widespread acclaim.
We all know and love this musical, so getting to see it live again is something I look forward to each time the original musical comes back. The starry cast opens the show with vibrant dancing and voices and if you’re making a list for upcoming Broadway shows to see over the holiday season, I suggest adding this to it! This is a brand new dark, comedic Broadway musical adaptation of the 1992 cult film, following the rivalry between two women who seek eternal youth and beauty through a dangerous, supernatural elixir. Filled with extravagant costumes, campy humor, and over-the-top performances, it explores themes of vanity, obsession, and the lengths people will go to preserve their appearance and power. We recently saw it for the first time and will be going back to see it again!


This Broadway adaptation brings F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel to life with dazzling visuals and a contemporary theatrical twist. The immersive production transports audiences to the glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties, capturing the novel’s themes of love, wealth, and tragedy. With its stylish set design, evocative music, and intense performances, the show offers a fresh, captivating take on the timeless story. It’s a really fun story to follow and I personally loved the costumes dazzling on the Broadway stage.
This is a show a lot of people have been raving about over the past year. Season ticket holders were flocking to see it and I can absolutely see why! It was a new works when it appeared on stage. This musical intertwines greek mythic tales so if you are a fan of greek mythology you will find this to be a great show and incredibly interesting to check out!
How could I do a Broadway shows roundup and not mention Hamilton?! This show is amazing to say the least! I’m sure you’ve all heard about it or possibly had the opportunity to see it on Disney Plus, but there really is no greater experience than seeing a live performance. Those magical memories stick with us forever. The tickets are at fantastic prices these days compared to pre pandemic, so you’re going to want to get any that you can find! Lin Manuel Miranda is a genius! It’s one of the most popular Broadway musicals and for obvious reasons. They bust through the box office with ticket sales all the time. The story of Alexander Hamilton is told through rap, music and dancing in this Broadway production. They changed the world of performing arts here while telling history in this Tony Award winner on Broadway.
The show for every audience is the one based on the cult classic series. Are you or your kids Harry Potter fans? This is the show for you! Not only is this a really cool show just with all of the magic stunts they have, but it originally was split into 2 parts, so you would have 2 different shows to see. But since the pandemic, they felt it was safest to just make the show a little longer and put both parts together. They anticipate it will run about 3 and a half hours!
This coming-of-age jukebox musical inspired by Alicia Keys’ upbringing in Manhattan centers on a fiercely independent 17-year-old girl named Ali who tries to balance family, ambition, and identity in the gritty ‘90s NYC neighborhood. It features both Alicia Keys’ iconic hits. Since opening at the Shubert Theatre in April 2024, Hell’s Kitchen has been praised for its powerful vocal performances, emotional depth and its blend of music, family ties, and the culture of 1990s New York.


For those with kids, this is a great one! It’s such a classic, feel good musical. The costumes amaze me every time I see them and the talent is unmatched! Gather your family and friends and watch the circle of life come to life on stage! It’s a great time and you can get some of the best seats since it’s been one of the best shows on Broadway! If you’re new to seeing shows, this is a great first Broadway experience to have! Let me tell you a little secret, any seat here is worth it!
If you are interested in a play, check out Samuel D. Hunter’s Broadway writing debut, with Laurie Metcalf and Micah Stock starring in a story about an aunt and nephew who must reconnect when they return to their Idaho hometown to settle their late father’s affairs. The production explores themes of grief, loneliness, family history, and how people reach for connection even when it feels messy. Running about 95 minutes with no intermission, previews opened on October 7th, at the Booth Theatre and closes February 2026.
This is a classic musical! If you’re a theatre fan, you know this one too well! If you’re not, let me tell you, you will be mesmerized by a Venus Fly Trap plant on stage! There’s a love story intertwined with this plant madness and it’s been around for quite a few years. The music is so catchy, you will probably be singing it for a few weeks after you see it, but I promise it’s worth it! Jeremy Jordan is back through the middle of September and he’s great to see!
This touching new Broadway musical by Will Aronson and Hue Park follows two “Helperbot” robots, Oliver and Claire, in a near-future Seoul as they navigate love, obsolescence, and what it means to live when much of you feels discarded. The show has been praised for its visual richness, emotional depth and its ability to blend sci-fi with romance in an unexpected and heartwarming way. This year, it swept the Tony Awards, bringing home Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score and other honors.
Dance fans, you have to see this one! Calling all Michael Jackson fans and even if you aren’t you will enjoy this one! It’s all about his life and rise to fame. The dancing is superb and the music is obviously amazing! Running about 2 and a half hours, this is the perfect show to see.
This show has been on for awhile and we deem it as a classic that needs to be seen! Okay, tell me we all have heard of this one?! I think the best word to explain this musical is the spectacular! It’s based on the movie and takes place in Paris. It’s a love story like no other, that will have you completely wrapped up in it! Gather your friends and enter the romantic, glitzy world of Moulin Rouge!


This Broadway debut is the musical adaptation of the popular book we all read growing up. The choreography is outstanding and I found myself not wanting it to end. It’s a coming of age story about people living in a world that does not accept them. Running two and a half hours, anyone aged 10 and up can see this amazing piece at the Broadway theater. If you’re seeing a show for the first time or looking at season tickets, this is the best new musical to add to your list with an original score.
This musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Lindsey Ferrentino is based on the 2012 documentary about Jackie and David Siegel’s ambitious project to build a sprawling mansion in Florida, inspired by Versailles. It stars Kristin Chenoweth and F. Murray Abraham, with Kristin also serving as a producer, and is directed by Michael Arden. The show began previews at the St. James Theatre on October 8th, with opening night scheduled for mid-November.


This is a show everyone is raving about! If you haven’t heard of Six, let me just tell you this is the “it” show of the year! Everyone is talking about how amazing it is and it’s all around. The costumes, music and vibes are all there and it’s one I highly recommend bringing friends to.
I think we all are looking forward to this one! It’s a play prequel to the hit Netflix series, set in 1959 Hawkins, Indiana, revealing the origin story of Henry Creel, later known as Vecna before the events of the TV show. The production combines family drama, supernatural elements, and striking stage visuals. It began previews on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre on March 28th, 2025, with its official opening on April 22nd, and has been praised for its technical effects, sound, lighting and immersive set design.


This is one of the longest running Broadway shows and with good reason! It’s a classic and it will always be a great show with a fantastic meaning behind it. This is a fun one to bring the family and friends to, or even go by yourself, if you want! The music is catchy and the show itself is a blast. With the new movie recently released and part 2 on it’s way, this is a good time to get tickets before it gets harder to see!
