As an Australian born artist, I came to America and fell in love with dance, color and silk.Color, dance and well-being were the inspiration for me to create Nahari Silks back in 1999. I hand–dye most of my pieces and enjoy finding unique silks that keep independence and traditions alive. When something is truly beautiful it will always bring happiness. And my happiness is in being able to offer beautiful things to you. Sharing with you the passion to move in a powerful feminine way with my hand-dyed silks is a great pleasure. Our Environment Matters

My relationship to nature and the people that I do business with is very important to me. I strive in simple ways to reduce my environmental impact, from re-using the plastic bags the original silks come in, to recycling the water to feed the plants when I can. I strive to keep faith with my community, business associates and customers by keeping it simple, small and creative. The silk dyes are non-toxic and everything is done to reduce the effect on the environment.Nahari Silks is based in a studio in the mountains of New Mexico. From the windows I look out at a wilderness that is home to wild turkeys, deer, bears, bobcats and rare juniper pines.
